CHANEL celebrated the best of its fragrances with an olfactory “odyssey” in Paris

The traditional French brand honored its fragrances with an immersive experience at the Grand Palais Éphémère, managing to recreate a journey full of experiences, magic tricks, discoveries and unique moments

The journey begins in the middle of a colossal square. Beneath a sky filled with glowing symbols, space comes to life, glowing briefly but brightly.

Guests listen to the walls “speak” and recognize the shapes of the emblematic bottles, each one like the entrance to another dimension.

Organized on the esplanade of the Eiffel Tower, at the Grand Palais Éphémère in Paris, the CHANEL exhibition will be open to the public and is free with previous online ticket reservations, until next January 9.

The essence of French perfumery is the taste for the indefinable, the expression of a style rather than an ingredient. Each CHANEL fragrance is a train of thought, a complex composition in which each raw material is sharpened, resulting in an olfactory kaleidoscope.

A living fragrance, like a concentrated form of vital energy that evolves according to the unique chemistry of each person’s skin.

CHANEL Nº 5

Welcome to 1921. A journey back in time to play the role of Ernest Beaux: a talented perfumer who has been asked by a very popular designer to create a fragrance that is “artificial as a dress”.

During this immersive, multi-sensory experience, you will meet Gabrielle Chanel, who is patiently waiting to discover her work. She chooses the fifth sampler presented to her and decides to name it after her favorite number.

She, who presents her collections on the fifth day of the fifth month of the year, hopes that this will bring her luck… Thus, the attendee will not only be participating in a recreation: through virtual reality, they will be able to truly experience this moving and historic moment, the creation of No. 5.
